¸£ÀûƬÎçÒ¹¸£Àû is a remarkable place, a school where the values of Show Courage, Be Kind and Seek Wisdom are not simply written on our website, but lived each day.

Mr Mark CaseActing Head of College

Welcome to ¸£ÀûƬÎçÒ¹¸£Àû

Since it was founded in 1983, Oxley remains truly independent, authentically co-educational and proudly non-denominational. We are large enough to offer an inspiring breadth of academic subjects and co-curricular experiences, yet small enough to ensure every student is known, valued and cared for.

At the heart of ¸£ÀûƬÎçÒ¹¸£Àû stands Elvo, a gracious 1880s homestead that anchors our campus with a sense of history and place. Although Oxley itself is just over forty years old, this heritage building, together with our stunning Southern Highlands landscape and strong community connections, gives the College a feeling of permanence and belonging.

It’s this unique juxtaposition  - a young, forward-thinking school grounded by deep roots that gives Oxley its distinctive character: well established and embedded in the region, yet agile, contemporary and full of possibility.

As a truly independent school, Oxley has the freedom to be nimble and forward-looking, adapting swiftly to an uncertain, complex and changing world, but firm and confident in its values and mission.

In an age of exponential technological change, Oxley continues to champion the enduring importance of teaching young people not what to think, but how to think. We nurture curiosity, creativity and academic rigour, believing that when you care for the whole child, students will flourish.

We know that many families have chosen the Southern Highlands for its sense of belonging and its strong community ties. Oxley reflects those same qualities. We value the distinct and equal contributions of all our students; we honour each student’s individual journey as they explore life’s biggest questions. Respect, inclusivity and integrity are not just ideals at Oxley; they are in our soil.

Perhaps that is why Oxley feels a natural part of the Southern Highlands - it reflects the very best of this community: its warmth, its vision and its enduring hope for the future. These same qualities are mirrored in our students as they grow.

We are proud to educate young people of promise and see them emerge as young adults of character,  ready to meet life’s challenges with courage, kindness, integrity and optimism. Our aim is that each graduate leaves Oxley equipped not only with knowledge, but with the values, skills and conviction to contribute meaningfully to the world beyond school.

On a personal note, it is my great privilege to serve a community I know so well, one that has shaped me as much as I hope to shape it. I look forward to meeting the most precious people in your lives; to challenge, support and help them discover all that this remarkable world has to offer. From the orchestra room to the science lab, the sports field to Elvo Lawn, we are ready to begin a wonderful chapter together.

If you are seeking a school where your child will be known, challenged and inspired to think beyond a syllabus, to dare to embrace new experiences and to dream of how they might shape the world beyond school, I warmly invite you to discover Oxley for yourself. Join us at an Open Morning or speak with our Registrar, Mrs Alex Stone, to begin your enrolment journey.
